Lo and behold him! Manabe is a character I just met in Fruits Basket and he's quite the character indeed. He's a very everywhere-yet-nowhere type of guy and he is very funny, especially towards Yuki :XD:

Oh! The reasoning behind his phrase "I'm black!" Is because it's one of the first things he says to Yuki, since he is on the student council and the "School Defence Force" and he likes to think of it like they're fighting for truth and justice, much like the Power Rangers. Thus, he wishes to be the Black Ranger :XD:

I was so confused when he said he was black, but now I just laugh :laughing:
